I have made several attempts to download the driver for
this printer. Will not work, keeps defaulting to
preloaded print driver. went to hp for updated driver
downloaded still no luck getting it to load. Printer will
work on some of preloads but only in B/W. Help

Uninstall the previous version first:

Then run the new software and do not connect the printer until the new
software tells you to do so.
