HP photosmart 2575 AIO drivers

The model is listed in vista and I have the disks, but it won't install. I
have spoken with hp live support and they say use a generic driver but that
doesn't work either. Can anyone help me to get this thing operational within
vista?

When you use the "Add Printer" wizard be sure to pick the choice that says
the printer is connected on the "Virtual USB" port - not the usual USB. And
choose from the list of HP drivers that most closely matches your printer.
