HP Office Jet T45 Printer

hello all. I recently upgraded my computer from 98SE to
XP, (Printer worked fine before the upgrade) I downloaded
the XP drivers from HP ran the install, the install worked
however it kept giving me a communications error. I did a
diagnostic check with HP and it said I needed to make sure
the printer was connected to this computer. I have
checked and the cable was connected printer is on. I get
the same error with microsoft....any suggestions?
