H E L P !!!

I've got the next problem.

I made a home network with a router, works fine.
I've got a hp laserjet 4plus with a emulex netjet printerserver.
My network doesn't see this printer server because its ip-adres is out of
the ip range of my router.
so I need to change the ip-adres of the netjet card
how can I do this - I cannot find the netjet card on my network.
when i put the netjet card with a cross-cable directly to my pc, I can ping
the printer, I can even print directly to the ip-adres, but the hp network
printer wizarfd still doesn't see the netjet card

has anybody has the solution for this problem?

Would it perhaps succeed with the 'msdos hp laserjet utilities diskette'?
However, i don't have this diskette. If anyone has this diskette I would be
pleased if I could receive the zipped content of this diskette.

This problem took me alreade a lot of time.
Can somebody please help me?

Note get the part number of your jet direct card and check the specs.
Some jet direct cards do not support LPR printing. You can change
the IP address in the HP memus. You have to use the + and - keys to
change the IP address one inc or dec, per number and the next item to
go to the next number. You also can have the printer get a IP address
by DCHP also

The Help desk at my work setup the printers by doing a cold reset,
then pluging in the network card and cycling the power. Print out the
configuration page, and telenet into the printer and set all the
settings and passwords.

Does your router do DHCP? If so just set your JetDirect card
on the printer to use DHCP. Thats what I do at home (Got an
el cheapo Linksys that does NAT and switch service)

He has an Emulex Netjet. If it's in the MIO slot, should be able
to do a reset on the printer to kick the Netjet card back to
DHCP then print a test page to get the IP the printer grabbed.

I always set JetDirects or similar printservers to a fixed IP.
Had too many problems of Windows' drivers deciding the printer
isn't there anymore when the printer's IP changes. Never had
that problem with a fixed IP because it's always the same IP
every time the computers and printer are turned on.
