HP Deskjet 990C Printers

Hello,

Has anyone had any luck with getting this model printer
setup with WTS? I ma using Windows 2000 Terminal
Servies...and have numerous computers with this printer.
I have followed the WTS instructions from HP's website to
no avail. Everytime I login an error message gets logged
that the driver is unknown and needs to be
installed...even though a printer with the same name
exists on the terminal server!

Am I missing something here? It is my understanding that
if the driver exists on the terminal server a client
should be able to remote print to a local printer printer
of the same make/model. Yes?

Make sure that the printer name on the client matches *exactly* that on the
server. I.e. "HP DeskJet 990C" is *not* the same as "HP DeskJet 990c".
Or map the "HP DeskJet". For more information, see:
