HP Deskjet 5443 w/Vista Driver, Recognized on Network But Won't Pr

I have an Epson R800 and the HP Deskjet 5443 on the network. Drivers are up
to date, cable, ink are fine. Both are identified and show ready, printer
pooling is selected on. The system did not recognize the HP 5443
automatically and I had to add it by name. Both print well from MS Word. If
I go to print from a web page and the Epson is selected as the default
printer, the document is queued and printed. If I select the HP 5443 as
default and press print, a printer icon flashes in the notification tray but
no document is loaded into the queue. If I run a test page from the network
the document queues, but shows an error and won't print. Thoughts as to why
the system won't print web pages through the HP 5443?

Try this, worked for my & another member's Dell printers. Let me know if it
works for you with a reply.

After installing drivers, go to Control Panel > Printers
-Right click on the printer, go to Properties, then the Ports Tab. Disable
"Enable bidirectional support"
-Then, if yours is like mine, you can then print.
