HP 3300 All in one wont print

Andrew

Hi,

I have a client with HP 3300 (fax, printer and scanner)
and I tried to install the driver on the TS server and no
luck.

Do these units work on TS or am I missing a step?

Thanks

I have found that the HP All-in-ones are not supported by
Terminal Services since they do not print to (nor can be
routed to) a standard LPTx port.
If you look at the properties, you'll probably see that
your all-in-one prints to a port named DOT_004 or
something like that.
There is a technote on this but I don't recall the Q #.
I've settled on having these users print to a networked
printer that I can capture the LPTx port.

You can probably get them to print if you map the driver to a native driver
and use the articles below. But no all-in-one features, just plain
printing. This is documented at HP on
http://www.hp.com/cposupport/printers/support_doc/bpl10248.html

Do *not* install the driver on the TS, that's the fastest way of crashing
your spooler or your entire TS.
