Howto disable scroll app opened by hard/soft middle mouse button c

Hi

I want to disable the scrolling application that opens once I press the
middle button of a three button mouse. This app opens also if I send a
software event of middle button click. I have been told to disable detection
of the scroll wheel, which didn't help to disable this. I think that it is
because middle button is not related to scroll wheel at all. So how to
disable the scroll app that opens when I send a hard/soft middle mouse button
click?

Download and install Tweak UI:-
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx

Now open Tweak UI there you click to Mouse option and then to
Wheel.There you will find the options to adjust.

Thanks, but it doesn't help the problem. I have downloaded and installed
Tweak UI, and have disable the checkbox "use mouse wheel for scrolling" at
->mouse->wheel.

It didn't do any difference. Did you check it yourself? did it work for you?

By the way, I am searching the web for how to do this, and I think that the
property that annoys me is called "auto scroll" and that is what I try to
disable.
