how to view web pages mentioned in junk e-mails

Some junk mail messages (from retailers, holiday companies etc) arrive in
plain text. I can convert to HTML to read, but nothing happens when I click
on the message to open and view the website. What can I do? I have tried
clearing the "Don't turn on links in messages that might connect to unsafe
sites" in Junk Mail options, but this doesn't solve the problem.
 
Move the message out of the Junk Mail folder to another folder to activate
the links
