How to use the Details Tab area

On the Details tab, the last entry is an item named:

UPDATE LIST:

How do you place people's names into this area? It is
always grayed out.

It performs a great function of updating the people on the
line.
 
mKing, you and I can't add names to the Task Update List directly; only
Outlook can. I can't swear I have all the details of the process exactly
right, but the idea is that Outlook adds a name to the list whenever I send
out a task request, the other user accepts it and then sends it on to yet
another user (and this is so only if we all have "Keep an updated copy of
this task on my task list" checked). Outlook adds the names to the Update
List, and we can't alter it. That's why it's always grayed out.
 
Thanks. Somehow I think that the Permissions Tab(right
click on the Task folder/Properties)is involved with this
as well. I do know that if I setup a new task and desire
it to be for my eyes only, I must check the PRIVATE box.
Until this Detail Tab usage that was not the case. Thanks
again for your hepp.
