How to use sync/offline folders AND terminal services on 2003 server?

I need to sync a 25GB folder to an external USB hard drive. Less than 50MB
of that is changed/added daily. Offline folders do not work under 2003 if you
also use Terminal Services (Remote)

I am looking for a solution that will allow synchronization and remote
management of the server.

I connect through a hardware based VPN and see a few options:

1- Use 3rd party sync tool of some sort.
2- Use 3rd party terminal service like RealVNC so I can turn off Terminal
Services and thus regain ability to use Offline Folders features to sync the
folders.

Any suggestions appreciated-
