How to use msn messenger, whitout upgrading?

Hi,

I've got this problem. I've got a pretty old computer, but I still
want to chat with msn messenger. But I can't run newer versions of msn
messenger.
The current one is: 6.2 And I've already got the latest one, but Still
there is the same message over and over again: you've got to upgrade
your current version.

Are there any tricks to prevent this, so I can chat with messenger?

Go to add and remove programs, check the show updates box. Remove the last
update first, shut down the system. Start system and remove the next update
and shutdown - until all versions are removed. Restart the computer and
install the version you want.
