How to upgrade RAM

Hi

I have a Canon printing solution with a fiery controller using windows xp
embedded.
Now I will upgrade the physical RAM, because I think by default, there is
not enough RAM inside this fiery controller.
My problem now is, that the bios knows the new RAM size but the os not.
Can you help me what I must do, to become the right physical RAM size in the
os

I have found my problem ... it was located in the boot.ini with maxmem=128
