how to uninstall sp2 original in cd rom

install xp sp2 that is original in the cd rom. Its giving me problems in
using the peripherials. How can I uninstall the sp2 and install sp1, is this
possible? many thanks

In case you have installed XP sp2 lately from the Windows updates web site
or the CD from Microsoft, then refer to the below site for removal
instructions:

To the contrary if your Windows XP came embedded with the SP2, then I am
afraid there is no way you can remove sp2. :-(

You cannot install an older SP over a newer one. You will need to format and
reinstall Windows clean.
