how to un install Windows xp pro

I am receiving an icon that my copy of windows is not activated and after
speaking to Microsoft they have asked to un install win xp pro and reinstall
win xp home edition. I don't know how to go about performing this task. Help
In Need of direction and guidance

The best way is to do a clean install of Windows XP Home edition. The wizard
will detect the version of Windows and ask if you wish to overwrite it. Run
your installation CD from the desktop and that should work.
