How to turn on Windows Update Auto-Update

I can't find any reference in Help and Support for how turn on the
Auto-Update feature. Am I missing the reference? Can someone tell me where
the setting is? And how to do it?

Hi Bill,

first make sure that Automatic Updates service is running (it should be by
default). Right click on My Computer > Manage > double click on Services and
Applications > double click on Services and look for Automatic Updates.
Check that it is set to start automatically and that service is running.

Once this is done right click My Computer > Properties > Automatic Updates.
Here you can configure when you want your Automatic Updates service to
download and update your PC.

I hope this helps,

Mike

Control Panel - System - Automatic updates page.

Also check that the related services have not been turned off; in
Control Panel - Admin Tools - Services, check that Autoupdate is on
Automatic start, and started, and that Background Intelligent Transfer
is on either Automatic or Manual - not Disabled
