How to transfer OE favorites to new laptop by attachment

I got a new laptop and want to transfer my favorites. I managed to transfer
my OE address file via e-mail attachment, can I do the same with my IE
favorites? When I tried to do it using the IE import/export wizard, the new
laptop says that it does not recognize the file as a "bookmark file". Both
computers are running windows and IE.

Hi,

Just copy the \favorites folder under your user profile from one machine to
your user profile in the other.

C:\Documents and Settings\<user_name>\Favorites

On the old machine open IE and click File | Import and Export and export the
Favorites. The resulting HTM file can be imported into IE on the new
machine.

You should using the IE import/export to export your favorites and you
will get a file as "bookmark.htm".
