I just bought a new computer with Windows 7. How can I transfer my large
Favorites List from my old computer with Win XP to my new one?

If using IE, click File - Import & Export. Export from older PC and then
copy the exported Favs, Cookies modules to the new PC and then use
File and Import the data.

This can also be done using 7's Transfer Wizard but it's primary function
is to migrate more of a previous OS's profile to the new Seven machine
than just Favorites.

Copy the bookmark.htm file from the old computer and copy and paste it
somewhere in your new computer and then use IE8 to import them.

On your XP machine, go to File, Import and Export. . ., next, Export
Favorites, Pick the folder you want to export from, pick Export to a file or
address (remember the location), then click Next. Copy that file to a USB
pen or similar device and copy it to your Win7 PC. Open IE, File, Import and
Export, select Import from a file, Pick what you'd like to import (in this
case Favorites), then browse to where you saved the exported file from your
XP machine. That should do it!
