How to tell which .wav file is associated with each slide in narrated PPT(2007)

Michael Herchel

Hi,

I have a PowerPoint presentation that's narrated. I have access to the .wav
files that it creates, but I need to know how to tell which .wav file is
associated with each slide within PowerPoint 2007 (short of listening to
each file).

In PowerPoint 2000/2003, I could right click on the speaker icon that
appears in the slide, and go to properties, but that option is not available
within PowerPoint 2007. I also checked under the Sound Tools Options tab
that appears when I select the speaker icon, with no luck.

Does anyone know how to do this?

Thanks!

Michael,
I think PPT 2007 uses <filename including extension><SlideID>.wav naming
convention on disk.

Hi Michael

If you mean the sound object properties in 2000/2003 where it used to say
the file location of the .wav or [conatined in presentation] you can still
get to this in 2007: in the sound tools ribbon (that appears when the sound
object is selected) click the little arroww thing in the bottom right hand
corner o fhte 'sound options' part - it opens a more familiar looking
dialogue :)

Just as a side note, I have found this invaluable in the move from 2003 to
2007:
Where have all the commands gone?

PS Sorry if I've misunderstood the question :)

It is rather hidden away, isn't it? Perhaps someone feels we couldn't be
trusted with it ;-)
