How to tell which ActiveX IE is trying to run?

Hello!

I have configured IE6 so that in the Internet Zone (Normal) it should ask
if I want to run ActiveX or Scripts. In the Trusted Zone, it should run
ActiveX and Scripts, and in the Restricted Zone it should NOT run any
ActiveX or Scripts.

In the trusted zone I put all domains/sites that I trust and that I
frequently visits. But even though they are trusted some of them will
trigger the "Do you want to allow software such as ActiveX controls and
plug-ins to run?" - dialog.

I guess that the site is using an ActiveX that is on a different site...

The problem is that I don't know which ActiveX it is trying to run!

How do I find out which ActiveX that IE is warning about??

Anders,
I have configured IE6" Excellent!

"But even though they are trusted"
Depends on how you entered the site ......
[example]
If you added www.123.com to the Trusted Zone, but 123.com also
uses a different server for some file, then you will see the prompt.

Instead try using wildcards: *.123.com
This way all 123.com servers will be "Trusted" ......

If 123.com is drawing some files from a 3rd party server, you
may need to add that also. However be careful adding 3rd parties!

You may need to "View Source" to determine the servers involved.

Aha! I can use wildcards...

What should I look for in the source to see what ActiveX that are loaded?

E.g. I have entered *.microsoft.com into Trusted sites, but when I access
http://msdn.microsoft.com I get the dialog "Do you wan to allow software
such as ActiveX controls and plug-ins to run?"

If I view the source code it's over 300 lines (if I do a HTML format in my
editor PSPAD, it's 999 lines of code). So it's almost impossible to just
browse.

What should I look for???
