How to switch network login user?

Hi all,

I have a big problems using XP home with the network share resource.

My problems is, if I first time login to the share resource, it is a XP Pro
File Server, it will popup a windows for me to enter the user name and pw..

I enter it, login okay, but later, I need a different user name to login to
access other resource .... like do some test on some resource etc ..

XP Home or Pro will remember the user name I login first time ... until I
reboot the machine, but this machine can not always reboot ... so do have a
quickly way to switch to other user and let the popup login windows show
again??

Thx

Jimmy,

How are you logging in to the server? Are you creating a mapped drive, or
accessing as a UNC share ("\\server\share" construct)?

Let's try and get your network access working properly (see your other thread),
then we can work on this issue.

An NT-based (XP) computer can only log-on to a given server with one set of
credentials at a time. To change user you must disconnect completely from the
server first. Strangely, you sometimes find that a

NET USE * /DELETE /YES

command (or equivalent DLL-call) achieves this... yet other times it
doesn't, and the only recourse is to log-off the local user (which of course
closes all running programs) Why this should work in some cases but not
others is a mystery.
