How to Stop Defender

Is there a way to stop defender temporarly? I feel we need to stop it durning
installations especially microsoft programs. It keeps giving errors in the
event log about them being spyware etc.

right click on the icon in the tray and click exit!

I had the same problem when attempting to install a software program. I had
to go to Tech Support, who uninstalled Defender. Once it was uninstalled, I
was able to install the other software. Once he reinstalled Defender, the
error message returned.
