How to stop Ctrl-Alt-Del

Len

Have installed an Autologon on my Window Xp computers
which launches an Internet application. However, wish to
prevent the Ctrl-Alt-Del key combination to stop users
coming out of the application and/or getting into the task
manager (users have to press the stop/start button to
restart the computer).

Can do I do this in Window Xp (registry)?

See www.dougknox.com, Win XP Utilities, Windows XP Security Console. You
can block access to Task Manager, and enforce many other restrictions on a
per-user basis.

Thanks. Have downloaded your utility and am testing it but
certain functions don't seem to work.

However, I should have specified that I'm using a French
version of Windows Xp.

Do you happen to have a French localised version?

For example :
Remove Access to Shutdown works fine
but how do I disable Lock computer, Close a session,
Modifier a password...

Also, Remove Map/Disconnect Network Drive worked fine (no
longer in Internet explorer under tools menu) however,
when I unclicked the option, it was not restored. Can I
restore it manually?

Some settings require that you log off/log back on for the changes to be
apparent. Others are immediate. I don't know of any method to prevent
locking the workstation, and you prevent the user from changing their
password by restricting access to the NUSRMGR.CPL applet, or by restricting
access to Control Panel and the Command Prompt as a whole.
