Hai

In my system, I installed Windows 2000 in C Drive and Windows Xp in F Drive.

Two days before, due to some problem in Windows 2000, i have to reinstall
Windows 2000(formated and Installed again) in the same drive. Its
successfully done.

When i am getting into it, it show 2 Options for booting
1. Windows 2000 Server
2. Windows Xp Professional.

When i select Windows 2000 Server, its working fine.
When i select Windows Xp Professional, it is not booting. It shows that some
file missing in Windows\System32\....

How can i solve the problem with reinstalling the Windows Xp. Urgent.

Thanks

With Regards
Sekar

The problem occurs because you have formatted a partition which was also
System Partition for Windows XP. I will suggest you to do a Windows XP Repair
installation. If you have Windows XP Bootable CD then read the following
article to learn how do a Repair Installation of Windows XP.

http://www.michaelstevenstech.com/XPrepairinstall.htm

If you have a Windows XP CD but it is not Bootable then run the Windows XP
setup within from Windows 2000 and choose New Installation. Setup will copy
require files on your hard disk and will restart your PC. After that when
setup continues follow the procedure as mention in above link.

Hope this help, let us know!
