bootloader modifications

Hi,
What I really want to do is this
I currently have a bootloader that has the following entries (XP by default)
1) Microsoft Windows XP 1
2) Microsoft Windows XP 2

I'd like to install fedora and I don't know how to migrate my bootloader so
that it includes Fedora to the above list. In what order and what steps can
I install Fedora so that It wouldn't affect the current "situation", but
adding Fedora or MAC OS X to the list? I have thought about using a boot
manager and I can give it a try if it doesn't hurt but in my past
experience, bootloader like system commander would damage the HAL file so
that Windows XP no longer boots. Is there a safer ways of doing this without
disrupting my current OS deployment?
Thanks
Jack

Install Fedora and use the Linux boot loader. It will be Grub or LILO.
You can have whatever entries you want.
