Remove Bootloader from dual boot

Hello:

I installed Mandrake 9.2 on my Dell Inspiron 1100 Laptop with XP Pro.
Too many problems with graphics so I uninstalled the Linux and deleted all
Linux partitions.

Now when the Laptop boots up, the Linux bootloader is there, with Linux set
as default
OS.

I don't have a floppy drive and from looking at the partition info, Dell
created a primary drive of 40MB (FAT) called "DELLUTILITY". The rest of the
60GB drive is formatted NTFS.

How do I remove the Linux bootloader and have XP boot automatically?

Go to Start/Run and type in: msconfig
Then go to the Boot.ini Tab and click on Check All Boot Paths. If you
receive a warning about a duplicate path: Do you want to remove, choose
yes.

Or...

Right click the My Computer icon/Properties/Advanced/Startup and
Recovery/Settings/System Startup/Edit.

Thanks for the reply Kelly, but the problem wasn't with XP's "boot.ini" but
the MBR [master boot record] Linux had set LILO as the default boot loader
and I needed to remove it.

I had to boot from the XP CD and use the "repair" option.
This got me into the recovery console.
I used "fixmbr" and "fixboot" and XP corrected the problem, it wiped LILO
[Linux bootloader] and restored the MBR clean.
