Oops I see, a bit more complicated than I thought. Haven't an answer to
this just yet. - will have a tinker later and see if I can discover
something.

Thanks for looking into this. He's too young to use the instruments and the
frame are just decoration. The main thing is the music and the animated
characters. I downloaded the SWFs this morning and they play nicely in
Irfanview.

His smile while they sang was as big as ever. :D

Mike, I don't need the decorations or instruments either, I was really
just asking out of curiosity.

Still another easy helpmeet will be the HTTracker program, which will
download the WHOLE ENTIRE path of http://www.bbc.co.uk/cbeebies/ ...
including anything and everything below that. Caution, I found that
the cheebies sub-folder contained in excess of 12MB of fileage, but
I amassed a plethora of songs, games, quizzes, and interactive stuff
that was executable directly from the CD I burned it all to. Hint:
You have to set HTTracker to delve as deep as 5-levels or more down to
get it all.

Now that's interesting. I tried WinHTTrack before, but must have set the
levels too low, because all the SWFs were missing.

Thanks again.

Great, as it looks like "HTTracker" is the easy option for all :)

Lately I find a number of new shareware clients to snag
cute .SWF files found online. Some of these things are loaded
in full to your Temporary Internet Files where you might
search for and save them. Others increasingly are streaming
only, and will dole out only as much as can be displayed.
Is there available a freeware version to do this? ... To
actually search out the OEM website URL for snatching it,
or to otherwise record it as it plays?

I normally use Xenu to find the URL for the .swf file, then snag it with
WinHTTrack.
