hi all,

I have bought a new mobile that can play the wma format songs. It is cool!!

I have found some wma format songs which are really small and cute. ie the
whole 5 min song is
in 650 k file.

is there any freeware (alternative shareware OT) to do this job for me?
and how can i change the files in this much small sizes?

regards

I think the Windows Media Player creates WMA files. But usually, WMA
files are not much different in size from a MP3, AAC or OGG of the same
quality.

Thus I expect that the five minute song is in a quite low quality like a
bitrate of 24kbps mono - what might be sufficient for a mobile phone,
but I would not use that quality to store music I want to hear on better
speakers.

bye,

Onno

dbPowerAmp Converter with the appropriate codec (available on the site). Be sure to keep a copy of your higher quality files because you cannot return the diminished ones to their previous state.
