Bill
here is a strange one. We are a public library which recently upgraded
our Apache (2.0.43) on the library server. The server also runs our
library catalog on public access pc's. We have (4) older hardware
workstations which continually crash (page cannot be displayed) while
loading catalog pages. We never saw this before the upgrade - Apache
is definitely running our catalog faster which is great - but on these
4 OPACS - (online public access catalogs) IE6 crashes. My theory is
Apache is pushing down the files too fast for this older hardware
causing the browser to be out of sync. Is there any way to slow down
the browser and buffer the incoming stream to prevent this? Higher
encryption level? Any ideas? Thanks - Bill
