The pictures or background cannot be shown when I edit file. But them can be
shown when I make the slide show. why?

Select CTRL - A to select all the objects (photos and text boxes) on the
slide. Does something show up?

or

View > Color/Black & White. Again, select CTRL - A to select all the objects
on the slide. Does this work to find what might be covering your photos?

I can select all objects, but these objects just are marked some dots on the
borderline. The picture also isn't whown up.

Thanks

Are you using PPT 2003? If so, do you have SP2 installed? Go to Help-->
About PowerPoint and check the first line. If it doesn't end with SP2, then
close that window and do Help--> Check for Updates and follow the links on
the web page that comes up.
