Going from picture slide to picture slide without seeing a backgro

I would like to just show the pictures on the slides not the background when
doing a slide show. I want the pictures to blend into each other and not show
the a plain background. Can this be done?

Make the pictures the same size as the slide background and use transitions
instead of animations to "blend" them together. A Fade transition will
probably do what you want.

To be on the safe side, give the slide background a black fill color. That
way if it does show, it will look like no background.
