How to set different odd and even page numbering

MarcinS

Hello,

Maybe someone can help me. I need to set different odd and even page numbering.
I mean even pages must go like 1,2,3,4,5 ... etc while odd must be without any number.
Option "Different Odd and Even Pages" will not work in that way.
I can put "new section" at all of odd pages and count sections but i don't prefer this solution for some reasons.
Any other ideas ?

you can _display_ such a page numbering, but there's no sensible way to
persuade Word that these are in fact the true numbers of the pages
(meaning: a TOC would show the true number, for instance).

So, a good idea is to tell us what you intend to do with (or: to :))
this document), and then we tell you the best (or: one) way to achieve
that. One way certainly is to set "Different Odd and Even": it lets you
assign different input to a sections header or footer -- exactly what
you need to do here.

Even page header would get no content concerning page numbers. And in
the odd page header you insert a file (all curly brace pairs must be
created through CTRL-F9):

{ =({ PAGE }+1)/2 }

Feel free to look up PAGE fields and some more stuff on fields in
general in Word, and come back here if you have further questions.
