How to set AGP at 8x ?

Hi all
I have a motherboard and video card all set up to run at
AGP 8x. I've set the BIOS correctly, and have the latest
drivers installed.

When I use the NVidia utlity, it shows that under GPU and
Chipset the max AGP rate is 8x. However, under OS it
shows the max AGP rate as 2x.

Please tell me if this is correct for XP, or is there a
way to make XP run 8x AGP?

The video card is 128mB Ti4200.

Have you installed the latest drivers from www.nvidia.com or are you
relying with ones that came with your copy of Windows?

I have the same problem myself , i am running windows xp pro ,sp1 ,with a
geforcefx 5900 ultra with 61.16 drivers on an ms1 neo p motherboard with up
to date bios , when i check the bios 8X is enabled , however in the Nvidia
agp info section it still states that my os is running @ 2X ,
when i check my system through pcmark it comes back with the same info ,
kinda throwing me ,
any help would be greatly appreciated
