How to SAVE Outlook received graphics (not attachments)& retrieve

The version is Outlook 2000.

After receiving Outlook email with (animated or still) pictures and graphics
in the body of the email (not refering to attachments) followed by saving to
a file only the
words and not the graphics and pictures are retrieveable later.

How do I solve this or should I go back to using Outlook Express with which
no such problem existed?
 
Save as mht or save the images via a right-click - only as bmp unless
Outlook is coded otherwise.
 
I'm having a similar problem. Am using Outlook also. Recently, every photo
that's sent to me can only be saved as a bmp. This doesn't matter whether the
sender has embedded the photo or attached it. How can I fix it so I can save
the photos as the jpgs they originally were?
