How to save clip art windows xp

I bought a computer that came with windows xp, when i
try to save clip art from the internet i click the clip
art the save as...

the problem is that when i open the picture it's blank,
if i save it as a bmp image or art i have the same
problem.

My old computer had windows ME and i dind't have this
problem.

I already did all the updates from www.windowsupdates.com
but i still have the same problem.

You should have a program like Microsoft Word installed if you wish to use
clipart.
