how to save a clip art to a jpeg

The Clipart will probably be in a sub folder of C:\Program Files\Microsoft
Office\CLIPART and the artwork will be in several different formats notably
GIF, WMF and JPG, all of which can be inserted in most applications without
the need to convert non JPG files to that format. If you must change to JPG,
open in an application that will handle both formats - eg SnagIt - and save
as JPG in whatever location you wish.

To add to what Graham has said, you can determine the location of the clip
art picture by using Insert | Picture | Clip Art. When you right-click the
picture in the Clip Art task pane and choose Preview/Properties, the
filename will be at the top of the dialog and the full path at the bottom.
You can select the path and copy it (Ctrl+C) then use Ctrl+V to paste it
into the Format | Background | Printed Watermark dialog.
