Clip art

Rose

My clip art was put behind my text, but now I need to enlarge it and I can't
do anything with the clip art. If I cut the test, the clip art goes away as
well. Please help!

To select it you need to use the Select Objects tool. For Word 2007 it can
be found on the Home tab in the Editing group under the Select options. For
previous versions it's on the Drawing toolbar.

Hi Rose -

You didn't mention which version of Word you are using. If you are using
Word 2003 or earlier, locate the Drawing Toolbar and use the Select
Command, which looks like a pointed arrow cursor.

If you are using Word 2007, then on the Home Tab, in the Edit Group is
the Select command.

Once you have the select command clicked, then you can click on the
object and select it. That will allow you to adjust your clip-art as
necessary.

If you still have problems, be sure and let us know.

No worries, happens all the time in these groups. The fact that my replies
aren't sent immediately doesn't help matters either. ;-)

HA! I had the same exact problem when I tried to move the clip art when I
put my cursor over the clip art and NOTHING happened.......UNTIL......I read
your post about the clicking "SELECT" Command ("Arrow"). Thanks for your
post!!!!

Here's "WAS" the problem I had.....................
I created a Monthly Calendar in MS Word 2003. I've used Clip Art graphics
on my calendar for special dates (etc.). NORMALLY....you can put your
cursor on the graphic (clip art) and you'll get the "bubbles" around the
graphic (right click) to "Format Picture" and then change the "Layout" to
"Behind Text" or "In Front of Text" and you can click/drag the corners of the
clip art to expand (or contract) the image. I have a "stubborn" clip art
that I put IN the Calendar and when I move my cursor anywhere around the clip
art....I don't see the "bubbles" around the clip art for me to format or
"grab and move" it to the location where I need it. With all the other clip
art graphics I used.....I don't have any problem (except this one).

I've tried increasing the ZOOM percentage on the Word Document to see if it
will expand so I can grab the clip art. Nope. Doesn't work :(

Any suggestions / recommendations before this drives me up a wall? I've
been trying to get this to work for (2) days and it's ONLY this graphic.
(Ironically, it happens to be the clip art on my 10th Wedding Anniversary
Date). Hmmmm.

Look forward to your urgent reply.
Thanks!
Bill :D
