I prepared a large PowerPoint presentation including 22 movie clips for
training purposes. It runs beautifully on my laptop but fails to run
properly on any other computer. I tried a small Package to CD version and it
worked; however, the full length version failed to work on another computer.
I also tried a demo version of software purported to ensure accurate run of
the movies in PowerPoint; this worked for the short version, as well. What
do I need to do?

Movie files need to go with the presentation (package for cd should copy
them to the folder). Movie file format also should be a standard codec, as
it may play on one computer but not others. Here is an info page on my site
about how movies work with PowerPoint which may give some more info:

If not familiar with codecs and converting movie files I recommend PFC Media
(see link on info page) to do all the work for you.

I just purchased the software and hope that it will live up to its claims!

Well, movie is linked to your PowerPoint presentation, when you play
the presentation to other place such as other computer, the linked
movie will not be shown.

You can do as follows:
1. Put the presentation and all the movie clips a same folder.
2. Reinsert these files to PowerPoint presentation. After you do this
work, send the folder to other computer. Then the movie can be shown.

Alternatively, you could try to convert your presentation to Flash and
send the Flash file to other computer. The movie will be embedded in
Flash presentation,. And then you could show the Flash on other
computer.

Some third party presentation tool such as PPT2Flash
http://www.sameshow.com/powerpoint-to-flash.html
can help you do this work.

You could try it for free at:

Also, you can send the Flash to Web and share your presentation on web
with others.

If the powerpoint is too big, there are many problem I know. I
recommend you use some program like PPT2DVD to convert your
presentation to video format thus you can run you presentation
smoothly with CD player.
You can find this program here http://www.ppt-to-dvd.com
