How to run a presentation

Hi
As part of my camera club duty on Thursday evening, I have to
run a powerpoint presentation provided on disk. The disk is being
provided by a club member who will be commentating on his slide show. My
duty is to display his slide show on our laptop PC connected to the
projector. Problem is that I have never used Powerpoint before. I have
no worries about the PC/Projector setup just Powerpoint. How do I
display his slide show and change slides. We have Powerpoint installed
on the laptop PC being used for the presentation. Any advice
appreciated.

1. Copy the presentation to the lap top it will run slowly from disc
2. Double click the presentation icon
3. To start the presentation (it may start on its own if its a .pps file)
press f5 or goto the slide show menu > view show.
4. To advance slides (or animations) click mouse OR press right arrow key OR
spacebar

PS Practice first, if necessary on another disc!
