How to roll back XP Service pack 2

Please help!!! This service pack has killed my machine.
How do I roll it back, it's not in the Add/Remove programs
& the option to archive files when installing was greyed
out.

Option 1:Reload.
Option 2: Load Critical Update for Windows XP Service
Pack 2 Release Candidate 1 (KB838904)
Critical Update for Windows XP Service Pack 2 Release
Candidate 1 (KB838907)

Go to Add/Remove Programs.
Place a check in the box at the top "Show Updates"
Look for and click on "Windows XP Service Pack 2"
Follow directions to uninstall SP2

If the uninstall option is still not there, perform a Repair
