How to restore Recycle folder in XP?

After a bulk delete of large number of (Retrospect Backup) files from the
Recycle Bin, I noticed that the Recycled folder on each of my drive
partitions, has disappeared. Using Windows Explorer the only 'Recycle'
entry showing in the tree view, is one entry for Recycle Bin at the end of
the tree view.

The Recycle Bin icon is still on the Desktop and a test delete of a file
shows it in the Recycled Bin. I have checked with another PC and each
of the drives has a Recycled folder showing in the tree view in alphabetic
sequence.

Grateful for any advice on what to do.
Peter.

Right-click the desktop's Recycle Bin icon and select Properties.
Under the "Global" menu, what's ticked?

Thanks for your response ju.c

I did try to reply a day ago but obviously something went wrong and the post
did not go out so here goes again.
"Use one setting for all drives". is ticked.

However I am fairly sure that this has been the setting for quite some time.
(1-2 yrs).
Also, I think that each 'Recycled entry on(?) each disk partition showed the
same deleted files. I have just checked another PC running Win2K and that is
also the case. Set to use one setting for all drives and the Folder tree
shows a Recycled entry alphabetically on each drives folder list.

If all is well I am happy but do wonder why it changed after this particular
bulk file delete?

Thanks for your assistance.
Peter.

I'm pretty sure the rule is:

If you want a Recycler folder on every drive, uncheck "Use one setting for all drives".

If you want a Recycler folder on the Windows drive, check "Use one setting for all drives".

Try them and, if you can, let me know what happens.
