How to reset Admin p/w.

Hi All,

I am working on a Windows XP pc for long time. All of suddenly, someone are
changed my administrator a/c password and forget. Now, my computer is not
allowing me to login. Please, could anybody help me out to reset my admin
pw. So, that I can avoide reinstalling OS and everything. I had lots of data
in my pc, I don't want to loose this data. I appreciate anyone who provide
me the solution.

Go to http://home.eunet.no/~pnordahl/ntpasswd/ . There you will find
zip files that will let you create boot floppy disks or bootable CDs
that will enable you to reset any system password on an NT class
operating system (Win2000, XP and Vista are all NT class operating system).

In this regard,,, can we follow the below procedure?

* replacing the SAM file in \windows\system32\config\ with
\windows\repair\SAM.
