Admin. login freezes

When I login as admin. the desktop is plain blue and only 3 icons appear and
it freezes up. If I login as guest, everything words OK but, of course I do
not have admin. prevleges.
I suspect that my registry is corrupt but how can I correct this without
admin. prevleges? I do have a "Norton Ghost" backup, but it will not let me
use it without the admin. prev.
I have resently used "RegCure" but it worked OK for a week after using it
before this happened and I cannot restore with it as I do not admin prev.
I shutter to think of a clean reinstall, as I have many many programs.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know anything about RegCure, but you can run it as the administrator
within the guest account:
1 while logged on as guest, or a regular user, right click the icon for
RegCure
2 select "RunAs"
3 enter the administrator account login name and password.
Now you're running this program with administrator credentials.

Good luck to you!
