How to remove stationery from all outgoing e-mails?

I've been trying all kinds of things to permanently remove some stationery
from my e-mails, but I can't seem to "lose" the stationery I had chosen in
the past. Any solutions I tried from the Help categories, just removed it
once and then it defaults back to the stationery again. I know there is a
simple answer...can anyone help?

Tools menu>Options, take your pick?

Send tab>mail sending format> select Plain Text>apply.
or
compose tab>remove all references to stationery.
