Music in outgoing stationery

Why will the background music not go with the e-mail? This is stationery
downloaded from Cloudeight that has ALWAYS worked until I got this new PC. I
had Vista on my previous computer. All I had to do was "run" it (the
stationery I selected) and it installed and Bob's your uncle! But now on
this new PC, there's no sound. When you look at Format Background the music
file is attached, but you can't hear it. I went to Tools/Options/Security
and selected Internet Zone. Then in Send tab I selected HTML format. "One or
more of the pictures in this message could not be found. When you send this
message these pictures will not be included." Of course, it has nothing to
do with pictures because the scrolling picture is attached and goes with the
e-mail. I've posted this question before and no one answered. Surely
someone in the Microsoft group would have some ideas! I would like to get
this resolved. It's very annoying. People send me scrolling stationery with
music and I get it all---scrolling picture and music. Why can't I send it
that way myself? Has anyone any idea? I looked at another posting from
someone with the same question, and 51 postings in all resulted in that
question but no one had any answers. Mostly, people just complained that
they are having the same problem. I'm not looking for complaints. I'm
looking for resolution! Please, someone, share your knowledge! Connie

Does this occur if you actually send the e-mail
message to yourself?

Sorry...I'm not into stationary for security reasons
but maybe the following links will offer some ideas.

I looked at the link you sent, and want to thank you for taking the time,
however, there wasn't anything there that helped. When I send this type of
e-mail to myself, the music is not included and it tells you so when you hit
the send button. If I look at Format/Background/Sound, the music file is
there, but if I click OK on that pop-up it tells me the music file doesn't
exist. It has the extension .mid and when I search the C drive I have
absolutely no .mid files on my computer. This is the location of the .mid
file for this type of e-mail:
file:///c:\program files\cloudeight\music\white-christmas-snowman-and-kids.mid
I made sure I downloaded stationery that was formatted for Vista, but maybe
I should send an e-mail to Cloudeight and see what they have to say. This
version of Vista is different on this new PC than my previous one. Connie

I typed an answer to your posting this morning and I thought I sent it but it
isn't here. I looked at the link you sent, and want to thank you for taking
the time, but I didn't find an answer there. When I compose an e-mail with
stationery, and I go into Format/Background/Sound, there's a .mid file there.
It's location is: file:///c:\program
files\cloudeight\music\white-christmas-snowman-and-kids.mid and all the right
things are selected---Repeat settings at 'Continuously'. So, I click OK and
it says, "The file you have chosen for background sound does not exist. Are
you sure you want to use this file?" Odd. When I look in Program Files,
there is no Cloudeight folder, and when I search the C drive for *.mid there
are absolutely none on the computer. So, I'm thinking that the problem is in
how Cloudeight downloaded and installed the stationery. So, unless you can
think of anything else, or anyone else can think of anything else, I guess I
will have to pursue Cloudeight for help. I've used their stationery for
years, and used it on my last PC which had Vista, and had no problems. This
new PC has a different version of Vista, it seems, because it's a little
'fancier'. Thank you. Connie

Connie, I'm suffering the same way. Loved the Cloudeight stationery with its
music and scrolling artwork. Not working in Vista Home Premium 64-bit. Very
frustrating.

Connie, I also did whatever I could, following the instructions of
Cloudeight's website. I also sent 2 emails to them, saying I followed all
their instructions, and still I was not able to use the stationery. They
insisted that their stationery was formatted and tested for all versions of
Vista Windows Mail. I really miss the stationery. I am still reading all
the threads relating to the Windows Mail stationery posts. Hope something
comes of it.
