how to remove SP2 replace with SP1?

Hello,

Have 6 or 7 PCs with XP SP2 installed.
However the presence of SP2 is stopping the automagic deployment of
some stuff urgently required.
So anything I should watch when removing SP2?
Is it possible to get SP1 downloaded to a CD?
That would help with deployment!

TIA

If the PC's came with SP2 preinstalled, then SP2 cannot be
uninstalled if it is not listed in the Add or Remove Programs
listing. Make sure to place a check next to "Show udates"
in the upper portion of that window.

Hi Carey
Can you tell me why you are not just able to go to Control Panel -
Add/Remove Programs and then just click Remove for SP2? That is what I
thought I would have to do to remove SP2, which I think I will have to
do as since installing last week, sometimes my laptop starts fine and
other times it doesn't start at all and I have to keep the on/off switch
pressed down to get the message about Windows being unable to start etc.
It then starts normally. Also now to use my wireless connection I have
to have the wireless card plugged in at bootup, it will not get an IP
address otherwise after plugging in when machine is already booted,
which it used to do before.
