How to remove a read only mark after entering passsword

I created a Powerpoint presentation and now when I try to open it to edit
some of the slides, it states it is read only. Even after logging in with the
modify password. I am not sure how it got labeled as a read only document.

Few things to check:
Is the file inside a cd-rom? If so, drag it out.
Right click on the file, click Properties. Is it set to Read-only? If so,
uncheck it.
Are there fonts embedded? Have a look at:
