Read Only Presentation

Is there a way, in PowerPoint 97 to make a presentation read-only? I need to
protect slides from being edited, or even copied into a new presentation.

Anne,
The only way I can think of is to set it read only in the file properties,
but that's not much of protection is it. Maybe you can consult these pages
for a more reliable solution, but be aware that absolute protection is
nearly impossible to achieve:

If you still need to display the slides, then no, there's no way to keep
them from being copied. If you just need to secure the presentation on your
system, you could use WinZip to zip the files and then add a password to the
Zip file.
