How to reinstall IE in Vista

Somehow IE is now broken in Vista, and only gives a message that it is
broken. It does not come up at all, so I can't browse the internet. Is there
a way to reinstall it without reinstalling the whole O/S from the recovery
disk provided with the Toshiba laptop? Looks like I may have to take that
tedious route just to get IE working again.

You would have to reinstall. I would suggest posting in a more
appropriate newsgroup and including the error message.
I'd suggest FireFox. What a crock... reinstall that is.

There is an Internet Explorer specific newsgroup, as Frank indicated, and
Vista specific newsgroups. This one is for the XP OS. When reposting give
the error message verbatim (I'm sure it doesn't say "I'm broken") and when
the error occurs. Have you tried a system restore to before the problem
occurred?

Here is a list of Vista specific newsgroups:
microsoft.public.windows.vista.administration_accounts_password
microsoft.public.windows.vista.file_management
microsoft.public.windows.vista.games
microsoft.public.windows.vista.general
microsoft.public.windows.vista.hardware_devices
microsoft.public.windows.vista.installation_setup
microsoft.public.windows.vista.mail
microsoft.public.windows.vista.music_pictures_video
microsoft.public.windows.vista.networking_sharing
microsoft.public.windows.vista.performance_maintenance
microsoft.public.windows.vista.print_fax_scan
microsoft.public.windows.vista.security

I think you should post it to microsoft.public.windows.VISTA.general,
instead of the XP one.

"People say Microsoft paid 14M$ for using the Rolling Stones song
'Start me up' in their commercials. This is wrong. Microsoft paid
14M$ only for a part of the song. For instance, they didn't use the
line 'You'll make a grown man cry'."
