How to put Outlook on toolbar

Hi! I actually have two questions about outlook. 1. How can I put my outlook
on my toolbar in the quicklaunch? 2. How can I fix it to where when an email
comes into my inbox that i can see a display of it on my toolbar? In the past
on other pc's i can see a display of part of the message i am receiving at
the bottom where my toolbar is? Any help I would appreciate.

Version of Windows? Version of Outlook?

Did you try dragging outlook from the start menu to the quick launch
toolbar?

I'm not sure what you mean about messages - did you see them on the taskbar
or in a small blue window above it? if it was a small blue window above the
taskbar, those are desktop alerts. Tools, Options, Email options, Advanced
Options - enable the desktop alert option.
